it they need to be banned from soce unbox it and take a look at it dear okay so here we are with an HP laptop 14 about one of the cheapest lap times you

can probably buy brand new without going into Chromebook territory and what's even more crazy that this has full
Windows 10 home without s mode pre-loaded which is honestly astonishing because I was not expecting that to be
the case because like virtually every laptop that you go out and buy as estimate on it out of the box which is stupid but at least this particular example does not so I guess yeah cherish
from while you can so specs wise this one is a 3rd gen mobile Rison as their as their so called although really it's based on Zen plus not Zen too so
it'skind of yeah but whatever
yeah literally so we have an AMD Rison 330 250 you as compared to the 3200 8p use that you typically find and these lower end machines this one is actually
a little different in that it has the
terabyte hard drive I would have
preferred to have the one with 128 gig SSD but you can't get them all especially with during season you just can't do it so oops but the specs are otherwise exactly the
same so I'll just I'll deal with the
hard drive is fine and then four gigs of DDR 4 that is a single 4 gig stick which means single channel memory which is
kind of at but it is what it is once
again it's a $300 lap pads and then 14-inch I believe this is a VA
LCD so it's not the crappy TN panel it's kind of an in-between VA czar too terrible I just don't like the HP implementation
with our glossy and so it's really hard to get good viewing angles out of them sometimes but again budget laptop what
can you do so what's also nice is that this has
Wi-Fi AC alongside bluetooth which is pretty decent I mean usually budget laptops at this price range still do not come with bluetooth and it also has USB
C so that's another nice city and as I mentioned earlier of course no s mode on
Windows 10 although you can generally take that off but if anybody who has been watching my channel for a little while remembers when I bought a Lenovo IdeaPad s1 45 and it came with s mode I couldn't turn it off that was not fun because I had to take the laptop back
because I had to have something that at the time it needed to run my lockdown browser for taking tests at school so I
didn't have a choice in that matter had to take it back head I had to anyways enough rambling let's go ahead and dig into this thing and see how much of a high quality plastic laptop this is and
I say that loosely yeah sure Oh auntie

like to unbox a brand new laptop because
I've never done that in my life before except for MacBook Pros gotcha well like said you're not missing much with this one because this is just your bottom of the barrel HP that everybody can go up by so you get your basic setup instructions it's a hero or some thank you let us know how you're enjoying your
HP device with Walmart branding on it cuz that's where this came from as wally
world of all places so go figure there's some more literature what was it just your typical warranty thing who cares all right off to the side is your pretty
standard HP 45 watt charger nothing fancy at all just has the newer style of

a small barrel according to some things i've seen online and I'm not sure how true this is but apparently this is supposed to have fast charge so it's supposed to take the laptop from completely dead to 50% in 45 minutes which I find that hard to believe with a 45 watt charger but I guess that just means the battery this thing is off I guarantee the battery this thing's very small you know obviously it's an embedded battery so you know it probably is no kidding right smaller than my hand
I'm just kidding and then of course your standard funny so your standard Mickey Mouse style power cable with most things used that's what I love to call it because that's what it reminds me of and here comes the laptop itself well you're
in luck it is got a nice little piece of

plastic bag in place so as soon as I break this I send my soul to HP that's illegal probably is although unboxing uplift but

all right so we have an oversize a
little black protective piece this is actually not bad
I Mean it's definitely painted plastic let's not kid ourselves here but for what it is actually it looks sleek it's not bad at all
and I get you guys over here she can get a better look at it without the wide angle lens causing a bunch of crap on the video here so it obviously doesn't pass the opening with one finger test
but I mean who cares move a little yeah literally alright so here we are
AMD Horizon 330 250 you dual-core
processor 14 inch HD sv a bright view edge display whatever four gigs of DDR 4 one terabyte hard drive there's that wonderful case badge that's all nice and reflective saying AMD Rison 3 there's our display with a nice matte bezel textured of course no touchscreen which
I don't really care and it's not that
big of a loss this one for some reason the pictures on Walmart's website showed this as having the backlit keyboard but
it doesn't because there's no backlit button right there on that 5 again not a big loss for 300
no it's the only that's only when you reach like their 15-inch models or whatever that they have that feature well this is a fairly recent release so
I mean you can't really yeah that's what that's partly you mean to say so on the left hand side we have the little
Kensington security lock slot we have our USB C port we have the SD card slot and a couple of indicators for power and hard drive which is a rare item to find on a laptop this cheap although to be fair you probably want that hard drive light because it has a mechanical hard drive in it yeah it's got a well I guarantee is probably this has yeah there's the power jack we have an
Ethernet port which is a nice addition

HDMI we have 2 USB 3 s and a headset jack so absolutely no frills or anything nice for that matter but you get your basics and nothing more touchpads actually a decent size 2 for
the size of the machine like it's quite a chunky thing although no macbook pro books or not what can I do
Dell XPS 93 65 in MacBook Pro is Funk yeah it's got a fairly smooth texture to it how about the buttons they have a decent click nothing insane again but
they'll get the job done they still definitely feel kind of cheap but what can you do right I should probably stop using the word cheap and rather inexpensive because otherwise I'm gonna get a bunch of hate comments all right so I got the charger plugged in let's go ahead and fire it up all right screens come on I have an HP logo and it's booting see if we can hear the hard drive you mean you can't a little bit part of the camera do a better job of picking up than I can cuz I'm talking over it if anything you just feel the hard drive being slow I already noticed that cuz it's taking a while to get into the out of box experience that's definitely something you'd want to throw your SSD from the Acer Aspire e15 in to likely yeah yeah if I even go that far that's the thing it may be a bit of a challenge opening that up though
well I remember that I remember that from my mom's HP 15 or whatever the
Camelot I worked on a year and a half ago we were having trouble trying to find the screws and we had to pull up the rubber feet just think that those last piece crews yep that was the exact same as my mom's I remember that that was not fun yeah I don't like having the pull of rubber like that well yeah cuz the adhesive not only will degrade when you do that but also you might
potentially stretch the rubber so you can't exactly fit it back in how it came off right yeah fortunately I only had to do it the one time because we upgraded that laptop from four gigs to eight gigs of DDR four and fortunately the hard drives HP 15 whatever please need one terabyte hard drive with a 50 with a 128 or 120 gig
Edwyn professional at the state just to try to speed it up but that didn't
really work because the a6 9225 is extremely slow unfortunately and I'm hoping that this is the case with this unit too that the hard drives at least fast enough to where it's tolerable that's how it was with my mom's Cannell
HP we just kind of left it alone because yeah it's slow but it's faster than her previous laptop and it's fast enough that generally it's fine for what she does with it so we didn't bother and I mean in the end too sometimes I'd rather take the capacity of a hard drive over the performance of an SSD it just
depends on the use case make sense because in this case you know it would have been nice to have the SSD for the same price just you know for the sake of performance because this is a cheapo laptop and I guarantee you this is not going to be something you keep for very
long or maybe you don't plan on doing a heck of a lot of stuff with it but I don't
know some people they just I'm doing this in like a few months we'll see now we're still on just a moment I guarantee you Cortana's gonna greet her happy face here any second judgin Wi-Fi there and we'll have your pc ready for all you plan to do use your voice or the
keyboard along the way and if you'd like me to stay quiet just select the little mic no you just hit the mute button on the system alright so here we are at the desktop of course it doesn't have the out of box HP wallpaper cuz I signed into my Microsoft account so go figure but whatever was closed out of Microsoft edge and edgy yeah the old edge I wonder what version of Windows tennis is all I've guarantee it's 1903 it
probably is maybe it's like you know 9 I'm not sure well we're about to find out they have 2004 on a laptop like that one it just came out well there we are rise in 332 50 you with Rhian graphics at 2.6 gigahertz with 4 gigs of ram it's on 1909 it was installed on the 30th of May 2020 which is impossible because today's the 29 so I don't get what
that's about flaps up firmly come from the future then went through a time portal to get to may 29th maybe it was set to Greenwich Mean Time then they had to realize that we're in a realistic time zone and set it backwards tell me what I can well the cooling commands a little bit more audible but again not bad I see we have a Dropbox thing we have HP's jump start we have an office icon and it's probably gonna load up some fullscreen thing telling me oh thank you for purchasing this machine or not oh we can all laugh at one part that's got McClatchy on it very fun Oh gets even better we got expressvpn we have  we have Energy Star Oh called that one oh I called that one welcome to HP get to know your device in a few quick steps will help you personalize it find
support and explore new features alt f4 does that work yes it does cool well there we go there's the unboxing and setup we're gonna try the keyboard real quick so I'm gonna open up notepad here just because I want to I want to try it typing on a real quick okay yeah that's actually not bad to hammer out some words on tool honestly that's actually really not bad at all let's see what the idle Ram user looks like there that oh boy um well at least right at the moment idle RAM is at 64 percent that's not looking you guess that's that looking good oh I saw McAfee installer so that's probably that's
probably a good culprit so we're
probably gonna just go through we're gonna clean up all the bloatware and now hopefully we get the idle memories which - at least 50 percent or below I'm
hoping below but it looks like this thing's just doing a bunch of updates and installers so that's just freaking great but in a way you expect we just open up a new machine so anyways that's probably in a rep of this video just because I want to edit somewhere and not

have to go through all sorts of
